Course Descriptions:

The purpose of this course is to enable Administrators to perform administrative tasks using Identity Manager 4.8. The course provides instruction and hands-on experience with tasks such as installing the NetIQ Identity Manager Engine and drivers, eDirectory rights, and drivers, and administering Identity Manager.

In addition, students learn how to use analyzer, manage policies and filters, use DSTrace to track driver content flow, and implement Identity Manager password synchronization.

Course Targeted Audience:

This course is designed for students who are new to Identity Manager and need fundamental training in the basics of administering Identity Manager.

• Install the Identity Manager Engine
• Review iManager
• Configure eDirectory Rights
• Understand Designer for Identity Manager
• Install Drivers with Package Management
• Configure Utopia Employee HR SQL Driver
• Administer Identity Manager

• Configure Identity Manager Drivers
• Manage Policies and Filters
• Use DSTrace
• Implement Identity Manager Password Synchronization

Course Pre-Requisites / Recommended Skills:

It is recommended (although not required) that attendees are familiar with:

• LDAP
• Active Directory
• XML
• Linux Fundamentals
