This workshop / boot camp will be hands-on session and we will cover the following topics:

  1. Introduction to Fortify
  2. Using SSC, SCA, Audit Workbench
  3. Installing and using Fortify Plugins on IDEs (Visual Studio Community Edition, Visual Studio Code, Eclipse, IntelliJ)
  4. Using Audit Assistant
  5. Fortify SSC, SCA integration with Jenkins & GitLab as CI Pipeline
  6. Fortify SSC, SCA integration with BugZilla
  7. Using the SCA's Maven Plugin
  8. Using Command line tools like FortifyClient and FPRUtility
  9. Advanced SCA Scanning (WAR fie, JAR file, Modular and Speed Dial)
  10. Customizing BIRT Reports
  11. Scanning C/C++, Java, DotNet, Python Codes
  12. Using REST API of SSC
  13. Installation and Configuration of ScanCentral and its components
  14. Using ScanCentral to submit Scans

Topics not covered:

  1. Fortify WIE & WI - DAST
  2. Installation of Fortify SSC, SCA, WebInspect & WebInspect Enterprise
  3. Installation of Jenkins
  4. Realtime Application Protection - RASP
  5. Fortify Licencing

Course Targeted Audience:

This workshop / boot camp is designed for Global Alliance & Channel Partner's Delivery / On Project team members who are assigned to work on Fortify.

Course Pre-Requisites / Recommended Skills:

  1. Participant must be having the back ground of application security
  2. Must be comfortable on Windows OS
  3. Must be comfortable on using CLI interface of Windows
  4. Must be comfortable on using Jenkins as CI / CD Tool
  5. Must complete Fortify Technical Presales Certification 2021 in Partner Portal Home (force.com):​​​​​​
  • Fortify - Application Security Terminology Technical Overview Training 2021, Level 300
  • Fortify SCA Technical Presentation Training 2021, Level 320
  • Fortify SCA Technical Demo Training 2021, Level 340
  • Fortify Specialist Presales Engineer 2021 Certification Exam

Important Notes:

  1. Micro Focus Partner Portal Person Legal ID / SABA Learner ID is a mandate field required during registration.
  2. Student who completes full training session will receive training credit.
  3. Close registration date is 14 April 2021, 6pm SG time.
