Stuart McGill has been connected with the Micro Focus business through its many interactions including being part of the founding executive team that took the core business private and then back to the markets in 2005. Now a FTSE 100 company, Stuart has been responsible for shaping company strategy, future product innovations and bringing world-class software solutions to market.

 

He has held positions throughout the company, across all business functions, including Chief Technology Officer, worldwide head of Marketing and Product Management, President of International, Europe and Middle East Regions; Business Development (responsible for acquisitions); President of Asia Pacific and Japan operations, and heading up the Borland business.

 
Before joining Micro Focus, he worked for, and was trained by, Shell in various roles. During the 1990’s Stuart created, developed and sold businesses in the software development and (digitial) marketing services sectors during time based in Palo Alto, California, delivering to core relationships in Apple, Intel and Microsoft. And in the 2000’s followed up with new peer to peer applications in the nascent mobile platforms. He is currently responsible for the Micro Focus’ GTM functions for the Application Modernisation business with a focus on Cloud, alongside his CTO background for strategy and the AMC division.
 
Stuart holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Engineering, Economics and Management.
